The online woodworking community is one I am glad I became a part of. There are lots of woodworkers who post free content, including instructional videos, plans and other resources. Here are some of my favorites:
The Wood Whisperer | Marc Spagnuolo, aka "The Wood Whisperer" has some of the most informative and useful information of anywhere I've found. I highly recommend watching all of his videos from start to finish.
Woodworking For Mere Mortals | Steve Ramsey is the founder of this site. His videos are different from many of the others I've seen. They are meant for "mere mortals", meaning you don't need super-expensive tools and a 2,000 square foot shop to make stuff. His videos are great for both new and experienced woodworkers.
Frank Howarth | He is simply amazing. An excellent woodworker, but an even better story teller and videographer. His videos have left me speechless. Check out his page or his youtube channel.
Drunken Woodworker | David Picciuto is an energetic woodworker with a very informative site. He puts out nice project videos, but my favorite is his Weekly Woodworking Wrap-up Review. Each week he posts a compilation of some of the best woodworking videos on the Internet.
This Woodwork | Don't let his age fool you - he's young but extremely talented. He will likely be a superstar in the world of woodworking one day. He releases project videos and does a really nice job explaining them.
